In 1997, after several years as a lifestyle couple, we started a BDSM toy company called DeTails Toys. We started slow (our world headquarters was actually a closet at one point), but quickly built a solid reputation for high quality floggers and other toys at reasonable prices.

For a variety of reasons, we sold DeTails Toys in 2003 to its current owners. Recently, however, we decided to get back into the business, starting a new company called S. M. Hertz Co. We are now selling hand-made floggers and a variety of fetish gear and leather garments.

We may have been out of the business for a few years but we haven’t forgotten how to provide high quality items and excellent customer service at very reasonable prices.
